The International Campaign of Solidarity with Ahmad Sa’adat in the Gaza Strip organized a exhibition of photos, posters and images of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, under the title, “Lives, Not Numbers.”
The event was attended by Palestinian factions, legal organizations and prisoners’ families, and included a speech by Allam Kaabi, former political prisoner and member of the Central Committee of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Palestinian political prisoner of which Sa’adat is General Secretary.
In his speech, Kaabi condemned the silence of human rights organizations about the escalating violations of Palestinian political prisoners’ basic human and legal rights by Israeli prison authorities, including medical neglect, denials of family visits and frequent violent incursions into prisoners’ rooms.
