OSPAAALlogoThe Organization of Solidarity of the Peoples of Africa, Asia and Latin America (OSPAAAL) addresses all friendly organizations and parties, solidarity committees with Palestine, social movements in Latin America and the Caribbean, regional governments and parliaments, progressive and peace-loving persons to express its most decided rejection of the Zionist regime in Israel because of the continued abuses and vexations it commits against the Palestinian prisoners in Zionist prisons.

On this particular occasion, the OSPAAAL expresses its solidarity with the heroic and firm resistance of comrade Ahmad Saadat, leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (FPLP), who is isolated in a punishment cell since last March 17 and carried out a hunger strike between June 6 and 15 with the purpose of defending the cause of the Palestinian war prisoners and protest the most recent reprisals perpetrated by the Zionist regime against him and his colleagues.

Comrade Sa’adat is enduring severe punishments and both physical and psychological torture because of his political positions and his leadership in the resistance and struggle against the Israeli occupation.

The OSPAAAL reiterates its firm solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners in Zionist prisons and demands their immediate liberation and respect to their essential rights. With more energy than ever we demand that the Israeli troops retreat from all Arab territories occupied since 1967, as established by the pertinent United Nations resolutions. We reaffirm the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to create an independent State of their own in Gaza and the West Bank, with capital in East Jerusalem, which is the sole form of achieving peace in the Middle East.
